Global Continuous Improvement Program Manager


Job description

This is a senior role to work closely with the Vice President of Continuous Improvement to develop KNPS Deep Dive Value Stream Analysis (DDVSA) methods across the globe in a structured, standardized deployment. The role is split between office and site based and requires a high degree of flexibility in travel, location and adaptability to local conditions. The further development of the KNPS methods and the integration of KNPS with Operations teams to ensure a holistic approach to continuous improvement. To manage and develop strategy and projects on-time, to specification and within the approved budget on behalf of both the project sponsors and the regions within KNPS guidelines.

Your tasks and responsibilities


  • Standardisation of the DDVSA KNPS Methods into all regions
  • Continuous assessment of the requirements from customers (regional senior management) for KNPS deployment
  • Development of MBB's (technical skills ) into the regions
  • Supporting the development DDVSA methods in line with standardised Bronze, Silver and Gold maturity levels. Working closely with regional KNPS leaders and the deployment of this strategy throughout the regions
  • Liaison with Operational management within the regions (RL's NL's ZL's) working closely with the regional KNPS Leaders

    Training and Product development
  • Coaching and support to Regional KNPS leaders and managers
  • Master trainer responsibility for DDVSA providing regional training support
  • Internalisation of training within KNCL  (MBB, BB , GB, Operational Foundations)
  • Technical and strategic support for regions
  • Leading the development of Operational Leaders knowledge in KNPS through DDVSA methods
  • Accountability for the management and development of the KNPS body of knowledge inc
  • Development of MBB training materials
  • Training of BB & GB in start up regions or regions where additional support maybe require

Your skills and experience

  • Educated to degree standard or the equivalent experience
  • At least 5 years experience as either a BB and MBB (2yrs as MBB minimum) or a BB in a Senior Leadership role
  • Logistics or Service Sector experience preferred
  • Can demonstrate experience as a coach, mentor and  leader of non direct reports and motivational capabilities and the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams

  • Demonstrates a passion for continuous  improvement and the ability to energise and inspire others
  • Excellent communication and inter personal skills and be able to work well in a fast-paced environment and under stress
  • Strategic focus as this is a corporate global role
  • Self starter with ability to work on own initiative

  • Certified Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Experience in the delivery of lean six sigma and continuous improvement programmes
  • Negotiation skills
  • Can demonstrate a rounded business acumen including P & L management and budgeting
  • Advanced skills in MS office tools including Excel, Word, Powerpoint, MS project and MS Visio
  • An advanced level Minitab user version 14 or above
